Rugby Roundabout Cycling Event set for September 30, 2023

Wartburg, Tennessee – The Morgan County Tourism Alliance is sponsoring the first Rugby

Roundabout Cycling Event set for Saturday, September 30, 2023, with registration beginning at 8a.m. and the ride to start at 10 a.m. The event will begin in Historic Rugby. Pedal the back country roads of Morgan County, TN. Choose routes ranging from a flat 10 Mile “Family Ride” to a rolling 60complete with multiple rest stops and a Full SAG Support. All routes are designed, marked, and supported by Race Day Events. Register for the event at The Registration packet includes a T-Shirt, Lunch at R M Brooks Store a soda pop or T Beer tickets and an entry raffle ticket for an E-Bike. Packet Pickup will be on Friday, September 29 th .

In addition to the longer bike ride, a kids’ event will take place. The event will be for children

10 year old and younger and will include a bike safety check, a bike skills event, and a station for helmet checks. The registration fee is $15 and will include a t-shirt, FREE helmet, swag bag, participation award and a raffle ticket for a Kids Bike. Take a tour of Rugby and learn its story, visiting the historic buildings, including the first free public library in the south. Historic Rugby offers regular tours and those by reservation for groups of 10 minimum. The tours begin at the Rugby Visitor Centre & Theatre with a FREE 22-minute screening of the award-winning historical film - The Power of a Dream. After Dark Tours is a new event offeredthat includes a Haunted Village Lantern Tour and a Haunted North Village & Cemetery Tour. Theseare offered 5 nights weekly. After the Rugby Roundabout enjoy a game of Irish Road Bowling at Historic Rugby.
