Built in the 1920s, Tanners Cafe and Sundries was a beloved business that had fallen into a serious state of disrepair and was in immediate danger of being lost forever.
Morgan County Tourism Alliance gained ownership of the building in 2019 and on April 22, 2022, Tanners Historical Cafe opened her door to greet the future.

RM Brooks store is known for its award winning “Best Bologna Sandwich in Tennessee”. As you enter Morgan County on Highway 62 from the east, the first restaurant that greets you is the Coal Creek Mountain Grill, owned by Frank and Roberta Milen. Head in for $1 tacos on Taco Tuesday or try a Mountain Burger, a favorite of ATV riders at the nearby Windrock Off Road Adventure Park.
